Poll update! Jinjing-Yu's floof sister, kobold, sergal. These pretty much won, and that's great! Why? WELL:
a) Jinjing-Yu's sister is the easiest to make;
b) I have a kobold started, and about 35% done;
c) I REALLY REALLY want to make a sergal.
This is how we all win. C:

Since these 3D models are so darn hi-definition, the concept of making a new model is absolutely bonkers to me. Do you use model bases and sculpt from there? Or are these fresh models, bones and all? Do you have your design process posted somewhere?? And just HOW flexible are your current models without tearing, and how much internal structure is there?

Heh, it depends! The more characters I have, the easier it is to make new ones, because I can either use entire existing ones, or parts of them, as bases for new ones (for instance, Hjalta started out as Uzuri, but you can't really tell, can you?). That said, no I don't have any generic bases, and if a character's body type is too unusual to be started from an existing one, I have to start from scratch. HOWEVER, none of my characters are rigged, so at least that's something I don't have to do. I pose them inside ZBrush with its TransPose tools. Gives me a lot of flexibility. Pretty much all of it within some vague anatomy boundaries!

As for progress shots, I only post them on Patreon, sorry. .-.

Yey, i can't wait till you do. I'm on a feathery friend high atm. Made myself a race of feathery elf-like people with long tails with big plumes, so I had to vote feathers. :D
